Last years European Champions Samoilovs-Smedins from Latvia didn't secure their title and lost against Semenov-Krasilnikov from Russia 1-2 (17-21, 21-19, 12-15)

One of the most exciting games of mens quarter finals is between Fijalek-Prudel (POL) and Ingrosso-Ingrosso (ITA). Last years European Championship finalists Fijalek-Prudel took the game against last years Biel/Bienne Masters winners with 2-1 (21-19, 19-21, 20-18).
