They beat Clemens Doppler and Alexander Horst of Austria in front of their home crowd 2-0 (23-21, 22-20) to won men's gold medal here at FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships Vienna - 2017.

Rio 2016 Chmapions Laura Ludwig and Kira Walkenhorst of Germany are now the new world champions of 2017.

The day started with Men's round of 16 Games , Brazilian Evandro - Andre clinched a though game from Latvians Samoilovs-Smedins by 2-0 (24-22, 21-19).

The biggest win of the day came from Canadians Saxton-Schalk. They put Rio 2016 Chmapions Brazilian Alison - Bruno out of tournament with a 2-1 (21-19, 19-21, 15-13) victory.

Brazilian Larissa - Talita won over their compatriots Carol-Maria Elisa by 2-0 (21-17, 21-17)

The biggest surprises of the day at men's side was Rio 2016 silver medalists Italian Lupo-Nicolai and Rio 2016 bronze medalists Brouwer-Meeuwson of Netherlands are eliminated at round of 32.
Canadians Pedlow - Schahcter won a close game by 2-0 (21-19, 21-19) against Itaian Lupo-Nicolai.
Belgium guys Koekelkoren - Van Walle served really well at tie-break and took the game by 2-1 (17-21, 22-20, 15-8) against Brouwer-Meeuwson.

I saw Martin Laciga of Switzerland who is one of the legendary beach volleyball player. Now he is working for the Swiss Tv at World Championships 2017 at Vienna.
He played three olympic games which is 2000, 2004 and 2008,
In 2000 and 2004 he placed fifth with Paul Laciga.
In 2008 Beijing games he played with Schneider and placed ninth.

Women's Round of 32 Elemination Rounds start today here in FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships 2017 at Donauinsel in Vienna.
2015 World Championship finalist Brazilian Taiana Lima and her partner Elize Maia won a though match against Ukranian duo Davidova - Shchypkova.
Ukranian girls took the first set 21-18, and so close to win the game with have several match points in the second set but Brazilians took the set 25-35.
Taiana Lima and Elize Maia took the tie-break with 15-11 and jumped up to the round of 16.
